Carol shared a beautiful story about her husband and a quilt. While at a garage sale,
her husband, a former high school teacher, found an old quilt that he thought Carol
would like. It was an old quilt that was in great condition in the middle but worn
about the edges. He thought Carol could make pillows out of the middle of the quilt.
He picked up the quilt to purchase it and asked how much it was. A young woman stepped
up and said, "For you Mr. Davey, it's free!"
It seems it was being sold by one of his former students! He was very grateful and
took the quilt home to Carol. He presented the quilt to Carol as an anniversary
present and she was overjoyed with the beautiful present.
This is a beautiful story because not only was Carol given a special gift,
but her husband was honored as a special teacher!
