What a great time we all had at the Auction during our May
meeting and the final tally from our Auction and tag sale
table is $482.05. Thank you to everyone who participated -
both to the donators and the buyers. Big thanks to Barbara
Hull and Shirley Machesney for conducting the fundraiser,
and to Janet Spencer, Nell Parsons, and Tammy Bungard for
keeping track of the purchases and collecting the money.
Community Service Project
Thanks to the generosity and efforts of our members, a total
of 52 quilts were donated to the Safe Home program at the
North Central Counseling Services, a division of Community
Health Resources. The Safe Home program provides a safe haven
for children who have been removed from their families due to
abuse or neglect. Our success in providing these quilts was
due to Cyndy Ostrout's hard work and dedication in coordinating
this project. Thank you, Cyndy.
April 23rd's Road Trip to Keepsake Quilting
Marcia Testa, thank you for organizing a wonderful bus trip to
Keepsake Quilting in Center Harbor, New Hampshire, on April 23.
After we shopped until we dropped, we all stuffed ourselves with
a delicious dinner at Hart's Turkey Farm in Meredith, New Hampshire. (Yum!!)
Thanks also for providing us with the movies for the trip up and back.
A good time was had by all.
Up Date on the 2005-2006 Executive Committee
At the May meeting, the membership voted in favor of the following
personnel change to the 2005-2006 Executive Committee.
Sally Cummings has moved from the Steering Committee to become chair of Refreshments.
Mary Shaw joins Jackie Chaput on Steering Committee. Mary will continue as our photographer.
A Note from Pat
The June 15 meeting marks the end of the Guild's 2004-2005 year and I will
be retiring my orange bell. I hope you had as much fun this year as I did.
One of the reasons I had fun this year was the Executive Committee.
Please take a moment during the meeting to thank the members of the
Executive Committee for the great job they did throughout the year.
You see only a portion of their hard work and dedication at our monthly meetings.
There is a lot of behind-the-scenes work done by them. We worked as a team and had fun.
You know what else made this year so much fun and a success: YOU, the members.
Thank you for your support. Thank you for signing up to contribute refreshments
and raffle items. Thank you for buying the raffle tickets, for bringing a cover dish.
Thank you for sharing your quilts with us. Thank you for participating in Sharing Day
and for representing us at the Big E. Thank you for being part of Secret Pal,
Block of the Month, Fabric Swap. Thank you to the members who conducted demonstrations
at our February meeting. Thank you to all who attend the second Wednesday Workshop
Nights at the Senior Center. Thank you to all who went to Keepsake Quilting.
Thanks for giving me the opportunity to be a Co-President and President for
the last two years. I look forward to next year and wish Tammy the very best.
Pat Mercier

June 8th at the Senior Center, from 6:30-8pm.

What a wonderful treat Jean's workshops have been throughout the year.
